Hachimei (the "Service") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

1. What we collect

  • Google sign-in: email address, name, profile picture and Google account ID
  • Email sign-up: email address, nickname and password (stored hashed)
  • Details you enter for readings: name or nickname, gender, date, time and city of birth, and relationship (for compatibility)
  • Subscription details: plan, period and payment status. Card details are handled by our payment processor; we never store them.
  • AI chat: the questions you send and the answers generated
  • Automatically: access logs, IP address, browser details, language setting and cookies

2. How we use it

  • To identify you and keep you signed in
  • To calculate your chart and provide readings, compatibility and reports
  • To manage subscriptions, payments and renewal reminders
  • To answer enquiries, prevent abuse and improve the Service

3. How long we keep it

  • Until you delete your account; we then delete it without undue delay.
  • Transaction records may be kept for the period required by law.

4. Service providers

  • We do not sell your personal data or share it with third parties except as required by law or with your consent.
  • Amazon Web Services (Tokyo, Japan): hosting and storage
  • Google LLC (USA): Google sign-in
  • Anthropic PBC (USA): generating AI chat answers — when you use chat, a summary of your chart and your question are sent.
  • Payment processor: will be added to this policy when payments launch.

5. International transfers

  • Your data is stored in Japan and may be processed in the United States by the providers above, under appropriate safeguards.

6. Your rights

  • You can ask to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data at any time.
  • Saved charts and compatibility profiles can be edited or deleted in the app. To delete your account, contact us below.
  • If you are in the EU/UK or California, you have the rights given by the GDPR/UK GDPR or CCPA, and you may complain to your local data protection authority.

7. Cookies

  • We use only essential cookies for sign-in and language. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Children

  • The Service is not for children under 14 (under 16 in the EU/UK), and they may not create an account.

9. Security

  • All traffic is encrypted with https, passwords are hashed, access is limited to what is needed, and our servers sit behind a firewall.

10. Changes

  • We will post any changes here at least 7 days before they take effect.
